Damages Season 3: TV Show Destination Site

Thanks to present technology, people can watch their favorite TV shows anytime and anywhere. Thanks to BLITZ, people can fully immerse themselves in their favorite TV shows. For FX’s Damages: Season 3, we created a microsite with an incredible balance between content, creative and insight, making it a true digital extension of this infamously provocative drama.

With the new season quickly approaching, FX needed BLITZ to drive interest and generate return visits in order to further publicize the show and drive tune in for the launch of the new season. BLITZ designed the microsite to appeal to a broad audience—from virgin viewers to obsessive fans—by providing program basics such as airtime, episode & music guides, cast & crew profiles, and interactive community blogging threads. Statistics from Omniture analytics and Comscore metrics of success, reveal that these features helped increase site traffic and generate a devoted following in just a few weeks.

At BLITZ, however, we raised the bar on expectations—this microsite also gives fans exclusive access to extra episode features, sneak peaks, behind the scenes video clips, production blogs, downloadable media, direct mobile updates, juicy information on the main characters and an inside glimpse at what it takes to produce a show like Damages.

Because so much of the show revolves around its edgy NY location, BLITZ incorporated familiar architectural elements and tone-on-tone depictions of the city into the site to act as intriguing backdrops for the characters and premise of the show. Our restricted color palette and monochromatic approach to the art created the signature look for the microsite that emulates the signature feel of the drama. These techniques also enhance the perception that NYC is an additional character in and of itself, which builds a sense of tension around the characters and heightens the impending suspense of the upcoming season.

After fans explore this microsite, they will realize that everything they love about Damages is about to get better in the darker, edgier Season 3.
